I just scored. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is out now. I just picked up a six of SNCA and a six of Goose Island Christmas Ale and a pint of Wychwood Christmas Ale.

What is it with people not liking the ol regulars, Busch Light, Budweiser, Coors Light. I dont think id ever go and buy an imported or foreign beer.
 
Sierra Nevada and Goose Island are both domestic beers. It's like buying a fine wine instead of Mad Dog 20/20. Or buying a good Scotch instead of J&B. There is more everything. Body, taste, aroma. Better beer.

Wach ya mean. Them all be some foreign beers. Goose Island, New Glarus, Fat Tire, Bells...I ain't never seen no comercial for them during the NASCAR race so they must be foreign. Hand me a pack a Pall Mall's dear!!

Pumpkin Ale is hard to do right I think - I did a batch myself and not much pumpkin flavor came out. There's a seasonal Blue Moon pumpkin ale, but you really can't taste the pumpkin.

I fully agree with your assessment of BudMillerCoors - in fact, the new Budweiser Select tastes like seltzer water to me - not like beer at all.

Those beers are fine if broke and looking to get smashed on the cheap, but seriously, good beer is the sh!t, and what you listed is not good beer.


I'm most certainly going to have to go to the store tonight and get some nice brew. :beer:

Pumpkin Ale is hard to do right I think - I did a batch myself and not much pumpkin flavor came out. There's a seasonal Blue Moon pumpkin ale, but you really can't taste the pumpkin.

Odd, a friend of mine told me that the pumkin taste is overpowering.

Well, the listed ones are micro/smaller brewerys...not imported. Anyway, they just taste better. It's like asking why you might like Bud Light instead of Milwaukee's Beast.

...whole different realms of beer quality.

it depends, blue moon's is really pretty weak.

wild goose pumpkin patch ale and dogfish head punkin' ale are both pretty potent on the pumpkin. I like 'em

I'm talking about the Blue Moon. He was disapointed because he enjoys the regular Blue Moon but felt that the pumkin spice was nasty because it was like drinking a pumpkin.
