Christie backs Romney for President

I think Christie realizes Romney is the only one who stands a fighting chance, and even he's got a long way to go. If I voted in Republican primaries I'd vote for Romney. Actually I'd prefer Huntsman, but he just doesn't have the clout with the radicals who run the primary.

What's to think about?

IMO, it's a big benefit to Romney. He'll get use of Christie's organization in the NJ primary.

The great thing about Romney is that he has been on so many sides of so many fences you could vote for him believing anything about him you want. probably how he hopes to get elected. But it's obvious he has only one driving principle and that's to be President. God knows why, he sure doesn't. A vote for Romney is a vote for vaporware.

And a vote for Obama is for more change we can believe in? Obama's in a bit of a bind as in many peoples' eyes he objectively hasn't lived up to his big promises. His whole "we can change the world" angle (reminiscent of a PBS special) has grown pretty stale at this point so it'll be interesting to see what else he intends to bring to the table.

As he would support Bush and McCain, now it's Romney's turn to be the big-gov Neocon.

Liberals may celebrate for more years of Bush, but I think I'd rather puke. The governor of Kennedy and Kerry will NEVER have my vote.

Makes sense to me, but then I'm both a Romney guy and a Christie guy. I'd have a hard time choosing between them if they were both running.

Meh, I'd pick Christie. But I like Romney too.

I think I like Huntsman, too, as far as conservatives go. But Romney is the only one that has a chance of beating Obama at this point.

Like I've said before, Mitt Bob Dole Romney can't beat Obama. If the Republicans pick Romney's sorry ass, they'll not only lose the Presidential election, they'll probably lose a portion of their 2010 House gains.

Dr. Paul is much more generally electable than Romney because against Dr. Paul, Obama's populist rhetoric would be up against a man who has tried to defeat corporatism more than any other individual in history; if Romney gets the nomination, Obama's populist rhetoric is up against corporatism. All of Romney's advisors are Bush Admin officials. Every single one of them. That said, he can't win.

Mitt Bob Dole Romney has nothing new to offer. Obama is going to propose "hope and change" again knowing damn well he can't and won't deliver, but his supporters are going to give him a 2nd chance. Conservatives are either going to vote for Chuck Baldwin, write in Dr. Paul, or stay home more than they did in 08.

Yes! Dr. Who for President! There is no problem too big for a sonic screwdriver.

Dr. Paul. He's an alien, little guy who sounds a lot like Seth Rogen. Now that you mention it, he WOULD be better than Obama . . .

Seriously, I'd have a hard time not voting for Obama if the Pubby was Ron Paul, even though I like his stance on personal freedom quite a lot. But if it's a choice between a guy who would probably like to infringe on my freedom but pays at least lip service to guarding the border and regulating businesses versus a guy who wants to maximize my personal freedom while opening the border and removing most if not all regulation, that's a hard choice. I usually vote Libertarian in Presidential elections, but it wouldn't be so quite easy if I honestly thought one might win. With Obama I might not like the way my country is going, but at least I'm confident it will survive him.

Spidey gonna be pissed. You got to get up and vote man. You got to get your we the people teaparta man in or else.

Oh I'm working alright. Doing much more than this board does in terms of activism and donations and talking to my co-workers, friends and neighbors. Not a day goes by in my office where we don't discuss politics and what we must do, and we act on it.

Keep talking liberal, see you in November. Hell, just today I made sure some friends, family and co-workers were eligible to vote in the primary and if the weren't then they need to do it now and spread the word.

You have no idea just how motivated this country is to get rid of Obama.

Silly liberal. I don't claim any powa but I will get involved and my donations and actions have an impact. I'm proud to have helped brown and Paul win senate seats. And I'm sure I'm doing much more than you and all libtards on this board to get the government we need. That is absolutely certain.

Vote Cain/Perry in the primary, weaken the GOP chances? You are a devious one.
