Christianity Still Spreading Christ's Message

“I didn’t see this coming and I think it was a third party that came along and told her not to do this,” Matthew told EURweb, “The bottom line … I just want her (Marie Holmes) to do what she said she was going to do.” Holmes, who had already donated $700,000 to the church last December, could not be reached for comment.

I guess 700k doesn't go as far as it used to these days. Jesus needs money.

The article states that she's spent 21 Million bailing out her boyfriend from jail. What the hell did he do to require that much bail? Are the cops just repeatedly arresting her boyfriend to extort her or is he a mass murderer? Paul Manafort only had to pay 7 million.

Drug dealer. Millions of dollars in lottery winnings and the dumb shit continues to deal drugs. This woman is destined to die in extreme poverty. She doesn't have a clue in the world.

The guy must be dealing hundreds of kilos of fentanyl to get that kind of bail money charged to him. They must know who his girlfriend is and that she has money. Seems like an obviously racist abuse of power to continually arrest a black woman's boyfriend and charge him exorbitant amounts of bail due to the fact that he is in a romantic relationship with a lottery winner...

I hope this woman wins this lawsuit and does not have to pay out any more of her millions. She won them fair and square. If she wants to spend all that money on herself or Jesus that should be her choice. Reminds me of that south park episode where the cops are going after rich black guys.

People like this make it difficult to convince anyone of the gospel and they will be among the sorriest people in hell.

It's all imaginary horseshit anyway, so who's to say Jesus won't forgive them. In the mean time, they get real money on earth.

You can't recover for "emotional distress" for a breached contract. He is only entitled to enforcement of the deal. For a "man of God," he's quite the bullshitter.

I thought it was illegal in CA to record another's voice covertly.
It violates federal wiretapping laws.

No brother Jesus and his salvation are real but when con men manipulating the word for personal gain harm others it becomes nearly impossible to convince someone who's been affected by such an act that its true. Organized religion has lost its mind as profiteering is the defacto standard across the board

Christianity and religion are two different things and the overwhelming majority of church people have religion only. They speak of God as some distant 3rd person when a genuine Christian knows God personally. I curse just like the apostles did and people like that make me sick inside.

Well if it's OK for devout Christian bible thump'in Roy Moore to be a senator then all bets are off on what a Christian is supposed to be. This pastor who sues in the name of God is merely one of the many supposed faithful who strays off the path and rationalizes their way into accepting the notion that whatever decisions they make was done with His guiding hand.

Politics and the greed that now drives it is leading the way for the Kingdom of Christianity to fall on the sword of hypocrisy. It increasingly lowers the bar for what's expected of a person of faith. It dilutes the actual definition of what's expected from folks who consider themselves a follower of the Scripture.

All that's left now is the answer to the question of how low can the Church go and still be what it's meant to be.

This duel between the Church and the Constitution/BOR is making for some real divisive activity that the GOP is promoting for its very survival. Mixing politics and religion may be one of if not the greatest obstacles toward uniting the nation as one when it really really really doesn't have to be that way given that the tenets of the Constitution dictates for the separation of both.

So who's actually responsible for why this clash of ideas/ideals have become so contentious? The athiests? I don't think so.

People are people and the come in all varieties. You have two people who are odds over money and both will settle it in court. News alert - atheists also pull this same kind of nonsense and worse.

I have never heard of a single atheist organization suing a potential donor for changing their mind about a contribution. If you have evidence for this, I would be happy to read about it.

Bad answer. Name an atheist organization grifting contributors. Just one. I can name over a dozen Christian organizations off the top of my head.

Felix wrote atheists as in individuals. I have no reason to believe atheist dna to be superior to christian dna therefor i assume the apes by large displays the same traits. I dont feel motivated to dig up examples to prove that right now and I am ok with you deeming my reply a bad answer 🙂.

It violates federal wiretapping laws.

Incorrect. The law on the matter depends on each state. California is, in fact, a two party state meaning both participants need to be aware and agree to be recorded. Not every state has this requirement. Wire tapping laws aren't applicable as those are for the interception of communications you yourself were not a participant in.

18 U.S. Code 2511 2 (d)

It shall not be unlawful under this chapter for a person not acting under color of law to intercept a wire, oral, or electronic communicationwhere such person is a party to the communication or where one of the parties to the communication has given prior consent to such interception unless such communication is intercepted for the purpose of committing any criminal or tortious act in violation of the Constitution or laws of the United States or of any State.

Exactly. The OP would have you believe atheists are as pure as the wind driven snow. So pure in fact, one went into a church in Texas recently and killed 26 people in prayer.

So how does the church feel about those who knowingly lie?

Lie about what? There are white lies which are harmless and lying about things that are more serious. For example if you scrub 30,000 emails from a private server in order to thwart an investigation while claiming they were personal and allowing no one to see otherwise.
