I find it appalling that this type of situation can still occur in our world. It does make me appreciate our Country a little bit more.

What would you do if you were in that situation. Say "I recant my [religious / non-religious convictions]"?

I'd be totally "Your elegant and persuasive argument has swayed my opinions on this. Yours is truly an enlightened religion, I'd be honoured to be part of it. Alla akbar and stuff. By the way where's the airport?"

Just with less sarcasm.

Well as our liberals friends would say:

You have freedom of religion, but you don't have freedom from the consequences of practicing your religion.

In other words: Good hang

First off, this would actually NOT be freedom of religion you vastly stupid fuck.

... I don't have a second point actually, I'll just again point out that you are one of the stupidest fucks on this forum. The only person that I think beats you is michal1980, and I do believe he is legally mentally retarded.

Back in the old days, after an army would move on, people would just convert back to whatever
Everybody was converting back and forth all the time
Leaders started getting pissed at that so they laid down some rules

In this case the woman wants to remain Christian so she's not going there
The article just says she is Orthodox Christian, and I don't know how they go about it
Catholics have to start the process by filling out "Defectio ab Ecclesia catholica actu formali,"

This woman looks like she can just hopefully stick to her guns, and hope the higher court (which has to follow more rules UN treaties and such) will set her free

Hey - how about an Official Islamic Fundamentalist Thread? Like what you have on police and law enforcement?

According to liberals it is. Liberals have no problem getting people fired for exposing Christian beliefs. Freedom of religion. Not freedom from the consequences.

Seems like you are just butt-hurt that Sudan has the balls to do what you dream of doing.

Once again you have problems understanding the difference between consequences for beliefs versus consequences for actions. You can't be fired for loving toasters, but you can be fired if your boss walks in on you in the break room and catches you with your dick stuck in a toaster.

Hey - How about an Official Newell Steamer Trolling Thread? That way he could post in that thread instead of crapping on other threads.

I would support that and also think we should start a "nehalem says something that anyone capable of rational thought would consider remarkably stupid" thread. Seeing as that's pretty much every post he makes. At least if Newell decreased his frequency of trolling it wouldn't be so bad. I have less of a problem with trolls than with people who are near brain dead stupid while also being that rare truly evil individual.

A Sudanese court has sentenced a Christian woman to death for renouncing Islam, her lawyer said Thursday. Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, 27, was convicted by a Khartoum court this week of apostasy, or the renunciation of faith.

Renouncing is an action.

She also was convicted of adultery.

Adultery is an action.

I think we've all come to accept that nehalem is just incapable of thought. I've decided that I've finally given up on expecting he'll ever show any redeemable characteristics and have just blocked him. It's one thing to be stupid, it's another thing to be a monster, but a stupid monster is just something not worth dealing with anymore. I recommend everyone else does the same, he's not worth wasting your time over.

Americans brought Native Americans to the modern era. Why aren't we doing this to mooslims? Leaving people alone has never been and never will be the answer. Ayn Rand said that the civilized man is privileged above the savage. Native Americans were savages, so we cast them out of their land, Palestinians were savages, so we gave the land to Israel. Mooslim nations are savage as well, and there are better people suited for their land.

Cast them out!

I was responding to your post that I quoted which referenced people being fired, I was not condoning what's mentioned in the OP. I mean, I quoted your post, how is this hard to understand?

He was fired for actions related to his faith.

This woman is being hanged for actions related to her faith.

What is hard for you to understand?

The only difference between liberals and Sudan is that Sudan has balls.

First of all, who is "he" and wtf are you talking about?

Second, only you could compare a private company firing an individual to a government putting someone to death. It's absurd.

Liberals engaged in a witch hunt to get the CEO of Mozilla fired for opposing same-sex marriage.

Sudan is hanging a woman for renouncing Islam.

Fundamentally liberals and Sudan are saying the same thing. Don't engage in counter-revolutionary actions or you will face dramatic consequences.

Are you out of your mind? Liberals would never sentence a woman to death for these kinds of actions. They would absolutely love to hang a man by his balls until dead if he spoke out against same sex marriage. But if a woman did it, they'd most likely just brainwash her and make her a standard bearer for SSM. Since women > everything else according to a liberal.

wtf dude thats not even remotely close to being the same thing.

It's one of those out of proportion comparisons. It's the same "behavior" but at vastly different levels. Kind of like how stealing a DVD from Best Buy and murdering a human being are both criminal behavior, but not even closely comparable. I hate when people use their faith to justify reprehensibly actions, but the Mississippi bullshit isn't even close to the Sudan vileness.

"Liberals" complain about religious extremists in the US. Religious extremists in Sudan execute people that don't believe in their religion. How in the world does it make sense to you that "liberals" would support the latter?

And again, you're comparing a private company firing an individual to a government executing someone, you are insane. The two situations are in no way comparable, and on top of that religious extremism is exactly what "liberals" are fighting against.
