I live in a small NE Iowa town. There happens to be a Christian radio station that broadcasts from downtown on 95.5 FM. We recently moved to another part of town, and since then I have noticed that the radio station is interfering with other devices in my house.

I can hear it in my cheapo PC speakers, on a sony boom box, on my Panasonic TV, in my Buick Lesabre (this is limited to about a 3 foot area at a stoplight a block away) w/ factory radio. It seems to be broadband. On the sony boombox, I hear the station on most frequencies except for the other strong local stations. I heard it on the TV on a dead air channel before the cable was hooked up.

WTF is going on here? WHY CHRISTIAN RADIO???

Improper filter on the transmitter, I'd say. So its blasting at a jillion dfferent harmonics instead of just 95.5

Actually, if you're close to the antenna - and it sounds like you are - it has nothing to do with improper filtering. The harmonics have to be reduced to certain levels at certain distances.

I'm battling the same thing here except it's a horrible heavy-metal station that's blasting out the station I want to listen to (94.3) - but the interference is coming from 40 miles away on 94.1 << that's improper filtering!!

Yeah. contact them first, if nothing;
contact FCC.
If FCC checks it out and it is within regs... Go to station late at night, tear down antenna.
