and that's disrespectful how???

I'm an NBA guy. I don't want to just chase money. I want to make sure I respect the game.

He's saying the only reason for him to go to Greece would be for the money, and not to help be an ambassador to the game and play for a top greek team, Greec's national team beat our nba stars in the 2006 world championships, and won the world title, so there shouldn't be any disrespect for the quality of play there. His comments probably aren't meant to be disrespectful or ignorant as they may come across to some, but then again to say Webber isn't ignorant would be even more ignorant. :D

he wants to win an NBA title after playing in the NBA for years. big whoop. There's a reason why there are more top international stars going to play in the NBA as opposed to Olympiacos. You'd have to be looking real hard to think he's being disrespectful.

I honestly don't think he cares much about winning an nba title as much as he cares about simply trying to save face and shed his 'not a winner' reputation. If he could buy a certificate on ebay to resolve that he would imo. He certainly didn't leave it all on the court and bust his @ss playing inspired basketball to do everything could to help get the pistons a championship ring last year.
