Chris Rock's SNL monologue. Do you think it was offensive?

Didn't see it but I know I won't be offended. Nothing he could say on TV would offend me, I just don't care that much.

The first time I clicked that link, I got a message overlay on top of the video stating that they were "Unable to load a message from one of our sponsors." Damn straight. It then went on to say that if I was using ad blocking software (I am, ff w/ad-block) I could click a link to enable ads. I clicked the back button instead.

So then I wanted to quote the message so I clicked the link again, and this time it started playing a 25 second advertisement. Not sure how they did that trick. But generally sites that think I will watch a 25 second ad to get a little bit of video that will end up on some ad-free viral site if it's any good are dreaming. 25 seconds seems like a looong time anymore.

Most of the time you can find things elsewhere but NBC is notorious about protecting older SNL content, (you know, when it was good) although the early years are on Netflix.

I suppose it would have been better had he started out the part where we commercial the crap out of everything it would have been better.

The monolog was a complete disaster. The audience was almost silent with the exception of a few laughs, most likely because the applaud sign was going off. I'm not an easily offended person, but I thought it was in poor taste. I'd say it was the worst monolog I've personally seen.

It was a classic Chris Rock monologue that he had the misfortune of performing to an audience of over sensitive morons. You jog a marathon and get to the finish line, so glad it's over and you can feel accomplished. Only to hear "run!"? That is hilarious. The point of that joke was to show how sadistic that was. Even for a terrorist attack. Thin skin in here.

I'm on the fence about the joke. It was kinda funny, but at the same time these people died. Did any comedians joke about Pearl harbor? Perhaps we have lost our morality in the 21st century?

Not offensive really, just not funny for a big name like Rock.
Anything made for TV that he's in is going to be bad.
