Of course Chris Matthews is biased.

He's a pundit; a talking head.

He's not anchoring a news hour. Hardball is a commentary show.

Who ever claimed that Chris Matthews was unbiased? He was a speechwriter for Carter and was a staff member for Tip O'Neil. His show is a commentary show.

People don't accuse Fox of being biased because of Sean Hannity, they accuse Fox of being biased because of their actual news coverage.

When independent sources claim what you posted about fox being as biased as NBC or CNN then maybe I will believe. Until then I can not.

If you want to get into Fox news' bias that's a different thread. You attempted to put forward the point that a political commentator supporting a candidate on MSNBC was the equivalent of what people accused Fox news of doing. That is factually incorrect. The accusations against Fox are not for their opinion shows, but for their news shows that blur fact and opinion.

As for evidence of Fox being biased and trying to push an agenda, hear it from Rupert Murdoch himself.

So you going to come up with that independent source or what?

Wait, the owner of Fox news admitting that the news channel pushes an agenda isn't good enough for you? What proof could possibly be better?

Scott McClellan, Bush's former White House Press Secretary, wrote that the Bush administration regularly fed Fox News a set of talking points for their programming.

Case closed.

Independent sources do not consider CNN or NBC biased in any significant way. Amusingly enough the criticism towards CNN is frequently that it has a conservative bias due to the positions of its commentators.

Anyways, you're just being dumb about the Rupert Murdoch thing. You are asking for an independent study confirming Fox's bias when the guy that owns and operates it is telling that to your face. Silly.

What does that have to do with your point about Chris Matthews? Of course he's biased, he's a commentator. Following your logic, I could claim Fox News is biased because Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity are in the tank for the Republicans. No matter what claim you might make about Chris Matthews, it is not analogous to claims made about Fox News' NEWS coverage. Whether or not their news is biased is a completely different discussion, but you can't counter "Fox News' news coverage is biased" with "well, Chris Matthews is also biased". They are two totally different things.

So why do you think that Chris Matthews is unbiased? I have hundreds of clips of him doing what most of you claim Fox news is doing.

That was great. Go Chris.

Hey folks, turn the traitor Fox Slime off and boycott anything they advertise there. We need to silence the voices that seek to destroy our country. Get the FCC to shut Fox down, no?

Got news for you. You should help the President make America better too. Bitch about the job he does if you want, or even claim he is not working in the country's best interest if you want when you get to see. In the meantime, he's your president too. Why isn't it your job to help him?

OP, this thread is so poorly written it seems like you accidentally posted it instead of responding to someone else's post. You begin with a question, asking why some unspecified person has made the claim that Chris Matthews is unbiased, but no one here made that claim.

Maybe he's going for the press secretary position? Brown nosing his way to the Whitehouse like Tony Snow did?

This country does need a successful Presidency, but we need unbiased information so "we the people" can make up our own minds as to what kind of job Obama is doing.

It's not Matthews job to make this a successful presidency, that's Obama's job. The fact that Matthews would say otherwise doesn't surprise me because he was clearly supporting Obama all the way, but the election is over now. He needs to go back to playing "Hardball" or change the name of his show to "Softball".

Every time I turn on Fox News they are calling for a boycott on something. Especially those asshole companies that say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas." I have never seen anyone on MSNBC call for a boycott.

This thread is awesome. The OP accuses some unnamed person of saying Chris Mathews is unbiased. Then when given words straight from Murdoch's mouth that Fox News has a biased agenda, he doesn't believe it.

Haha post more LOL threads please.

Oh no, not typical at all. Why I feel it's time for the left to break out their looms and needles and start gearing out in brown, sharpening their pitch forks, plucking chickens and heading on down to the tar pit for some evening fun. You know it's what you feel you deserve, isn't it, the madness of the other who is sick just like you.
