MSNBC is way more of a damn joke than Fox. They don't even pretend, not even at all, to not be completely sh*t-nosed sycophants for the democrating party, shills to a degree that would make Hannity blush. Ok, not Hannity, that guy is MSNBC material, but they are awful.

If we posted every time some cable tv pundit hack had a breakdown, we could start a whole new sub forum.

Matthews used to have the same pretensions of non-bias as does every journalist. Something snapped inside him when the Pubbies did that commercial of JFK talking up tax cuts and he's never been the same since.

So you like the veneer rather than just an honest message that you disagree with...

What's that like?

Never seen Mathews tell a lie to make his point. I always put his "bias" down to his recognition of how radical the Right has become and him being old school enough to be appalled by the Right's current conduct in politics. He uses facts to back up what he has to say, though you may disagree with his conclusions.

MSNBC makes no bones about being a liberal/progressive voice. They clearly state what their mission statement is each and every night.

Fox News does not. They are clearly in the tank for the GOP, but continue to call themselves fair and balanced and refuse to even admit that they have a conservative lean.

If you cannot understand this difference, you're an idiot.

MSNBC and Fox continue to insult the intelligence of their viewers... no thanks.

Ripping President Obama in public isn't going to inspire a different outcome either. Barack will not veer from the comfort and sustenance of his note preparation without benefit of eye level teleprompters. The criticisms about his inability to speak extemporaneously will continue. He will continue to avoid eye contact.

Anyway, the corporatocracy now wants Romney to win; I'm glad too. It will be much easier to criticize a white Mormon Republican Administration about the illegal wars, czars, executive orders, lobbyists, bank backdoors, price-fixing, rampant corruption, judicial activism etc etc.

I cannot wait for more Americans to (once again) join the ranks of true patriots of dissent! Let us hope for a real President in four more long years from now.

That's because that's what real criticism looks like and it will be coming from the left like it has been. What's the criticism been like from the right? Speaking "black" while giving a speech at a church? Using TelePrompTers? Not being a real citizen? A lack of school transcripts? Being lazy? Being socialist?

I could go on but I think you get the point.

The fact that you think msnbc is the equivalent to fox tells me you don't watch either channel.
Both are biased and both have their issues but they aren't equal.

For four years I've been asking for real criticism of Obama from the right and I got nothing but BS elementary school crap like I previously mentioned.

What you wrote isn't even worth addressing. Obviously you have mistaken me for someone else.

We just had a thread during the RNC where a lot of people claimed Chris Matthews was just as tough on his Democrat guests.

He just gave hell to Obama. He does rip into dems often enough. Doesn't mean he's not one, and or pretends not to be. He calls them out when they are doing a crap job.

He's a northeast old school Catholic Dem. He literally says that and how he worked for Tip Oniel every show. On the spectrum I'd put him fairly center left, as opposed to some Cali Dems or guys like Ed whatever with the fat head on MSNBC.

They are opinion people. They have a viewpoint and they speak from there. That's fine as long as you are pretending you are something you are not.

Hate manifests itself in many ways. The storefront windowdressed reasons to justify it is an afterthought, brought to us by the likes of FOX, Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, O'Reilly et al. I do realize that in an effort to gain market share, the liberal media will, on occasion, go overboard to make a point, but not anything like the aforementioned "conservative" pundits who quite franky, always appear to be frantic, theatrical and excessively "passionate" in their delivery. Like the saying goes, if you got a weak point to make you need to make it in a very loud, incessant voice.

With that, false equivalency, a tool so often used in this forum, is just another way to make one side appear just as bad as another, which, ironically, logically points to the side that wants to drag the opposition down to their level of existence, politically speaking.

"blows a gasket"

This reminds me of a story...

A penguin salesman was traveling through the countryside when his car broke down. It was a hot day but fortunately it was just at the edge of a small one garage town. He went to the mechanic and said he had an important meeting to clinch a huge deal so was anxious to be on his way. The mechanic said "OK I'll bring it in and have a look. Stop back in half an hour".

Penguins as you know aren't hot weather creatures so he was quite happy to find an old fashioned drug store with a soda fountain. He went in and ordered a big ice cream soda with big glob of whipped cream on top. He looked at his watch and saw it was time to check on his car so he hurriedly finished up forgetting to wipe his face but it was too late to find a napkin.

When he got to the station the mechanic said "Looks like you blew a seal", to which the penguin hastily replied "No, it's whipped cream, I swear!"

Why do you hate the free market?
Nice gotcha attempt.

Fails though because expressing an opinion on one particular product (in this case Mathews) isn't an admission that one hates the free market itself.

Maybe next time

How dare I point out that the Teleprompter Emperor of Oz wears no clothes. Therefore, anyone who doesn’t actively represent the paradox of a false left right paradigm is hateful and suffers from false equivalency.

As I said, I will be relieved to see enthusiastic voters like you once again engage in dissent after Mitt wins. Again I don’t care if you blame it on Rs, Ds or Mickey Mouse. Unless you enjoy falling off of cliffs.
