As for your example, I also have no problem with a 22 year old hooking up with a 16 year old. I've said it before and I'll say it again - our sex laws need a reality check. This idea that humans don't become sexual beings until the moment the clock strikes midnight on their 18th birthday is ludicrous.

That said, I don't know where the line should be drawn, but I don't agree with the sentiment that the 22 year old is sick or perverted in this example.

I do. At 16 most girls are too young and inexperienced to make informative decisions and are easy prey for 22 year olds. Any 22 year old guy who needs to hook up with a 16 year old has issues. That is just insane.

Within the context of being a bad husband yeah...

But I'm sensing a veiled attempt at labeling him a hypocrite. Which he most certainly is not. There's a big difference between cheating on your wife and baiting 14 year olds over the Internet.

There is a bit if irony in getting caught on camera though...

From the story linked in the OP, the younger reporter looks exactly like a 20 years younger version of his wife.

It's difficult to fault the guy for falling for some retro sex, or reliving his glory days, however crass that sounds.

That's even worse, since they certainly would come-across as being even more interested in having sex or being more assertive/unambiguous in that interest than a real person might, even going as far as to proposition first. The end justifying the means and all (these people are usually crusader types who are absolutely convinced they are righteous in what they are doing).

The best part about the article:
They left at 9.15pm, and went for a drive along the ocean front, before being filmed filling up Miss Caddell's Jeep at a nearby gas station.

Then they drove to a liquor store, and Hansen emerged clutching a bag full of bottles. The couple returned to Miss Caddell's apartment at 10pm.

At 8am on Saturday, they, with Hansen pulling luggage behind him, and she drove him to the airport.

A source told the Enquirer: 'They were both wearing different clothes from the night before... Kristyn's hair was dishevelled as if she'd just rolled out of bed.'

they aren't NBC staffers, they are from Perveted Justice, who is doing this 24/7 as their job, not only when hired by Dateline NBC.
