You shouldn't congratulate him for being a misogynist.
I don't think you know what misogynist means.
I know what misogynist means; it accurately describes Chris Brown and any other man who abuses his female partner.

mi·sog·y·ny [mi-soj-uh-nee, mahy-] Show IPA
?noun
hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women.
noun
a misanthrope who dislikes women in particular
mi·sog·y·nist (mi-soj'?-nist)
n. One who hates women.
adj. Of or characterized by a hatred of women.
You don't have to hate women in general to beat one of them. They're two different concepts.
LOL @ the dictionary definition. Misogyny refers to more than "hatred of women." How do you define or measure "hatred" anyway? In feminist theory and common parlance, misogyny refers to negative beliefs or actions towards women, because they are women. Misogyny, as it is used, refers to the dehumanization of women that is a product of the hatred of women. Relationship violence is an example of dehumanization; most abusers are not violent towards those who they consider equals (men of similar status), only women, children and men beneath them.
Mysogeny is the hatred or mistrust of women in general. Period. What that evolves into later can be many things including but not limited to physical violence. This doesn't mean Mysogeny is anything more than hatred or mistrust of women.
LOL @ people who think they know better than the fucking dictionary.
I did not limit misogyny to relationship violence, I said it was an example of it. And it is. Misogyny is used more broadly in feminist discourse and common speech than the dictionary reflects or you accept. Some words have multiple definitions. Some of those definitions are not in the dictionary. This isn't news.
If you make up the definitions then sure but it has one meaning. He beat his gf but that doesn't mean he doesn't love women. I'm pretty sure he loves women and quoting a feminist definition of Misogyny is like using the KKK definition of hate crimes, too biased to be used.
