so ar i'm doing
knowns:
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ or 4200+ (most probably 3800+)
Silverstone Sugo sg-1 (case)

unknown:
Mobo (matx pcie gfx)

gfx (nvidia pci-e) 300 or so dollars i "think" so a nice gaming card that'll last a few years (3-4 hopefully). It'll also need to be a cooler card sine i'm using a Matx case i can't have things overheating but sine i plan on doing watercooling (not positive) most likly that is less of a issue.

Ram (2 x 1 gigs ... i might be able to use my old ram not sure)
watercooling (not sure if i'm doing that or not)

yea i don't think i have old ram ... is a 7800GT gonna last a few years you think"? and i couldn't find a 7800 for less than like 400 maybe i was looking at 7800 not GT .. idk the difference in numbers etc. i get confused.

there's a 7800gs(not offical yet, slower than a 7800gt, 16pipe 370-400mhz?)
7800gt 20 pipe 400mhz
7800gtx 24pipe 430mhz.

a oced 7800gt will easily be as fast as a 7800gtx stock which is pretty fast. what resolution do you play at?

seems like you usually use 1024x768 and maybe 12x10. a 7800gt will easily last 3 years playing newest games at 1024x768 if history is any judge.(a 9800pro from 3 years ago plays most games decently at 1024x768 now)

cool and yea the highest monitor i'd get atm (and proably until outta college i decided) will be a 19 inch.
