Chosing my mobo??

Hi
I'm building an E6600 system atm.
Ive got everything i need except the motherboard.
I was going to wiat for the P5N32 Premium because of all the hype about it, however ive just been told it's really only worth waiting for if ur set on SLI.
I'm not an OverClocker and i only plan n running a single 7950GT with the possiblity of a physics card in a year or 2 (whenever we start needing them).
1 question i have is:
will an nvidia card run any differently in an ATI board? Will nvidia drivers still operate?
If so what boards would you recomend that would get me maximum performance with

E6600
2gig G.Skill PC6400 (800) 4-4-4-12
7950GT

all running stock?
Im after stability and durabilty and most importantly a board that won't restrict my parts from performing at peak (stock) performance.

If some1 would tell me a couple of boards and what the pros n cons are that would be really appreciated 😀

cheers

Asus P5B Deluxe
pro: WiFi, Dual Gigabit Lan, RAID.
con: expensive, sometimes reads CPU temps incorrectly, no SLI or Crossfire

Gigabyte DS3
Pro: reasonable price, all solid cap design
con: out of box BIOS doesn't play well with some memory, no SLI or crossfire, passave cooler allows northbridge to heat up

These are the 2 I'd look at if it were me. If you want more info on either of them there is an ongoing forum discussion of each here.

I'm after stability and performance running everything stock though.
Reading reviews on teh P5B DH makes me think id be wasteing my money buying this board and then not Overclocking..... Is this board still the best choice for general stock performance?

lol im getting the P5B and the P5W DH mixed up.

is the only difference between the 2 boards the Crossfire factor?

P5B 1xPCIe
P5WDh 2xPCIE x8 crossfire

???
is everything else basically the same??

Their are some other differences, not exactly sure what they are off the top of my head (easy way to check is compare at the egg and the manufacturers site, things like bios updates should be pretty simialr if they are really similar boards). Personally, the cost on the ASUS is pretty insane at the moment; I'd be leaning towards the Gigabyte boards or the Abit if it launches at a reasonable price.

will my 7950GT work fine on the P5W DH?
i know i can use 2 nvidia cards in crossfire but a single works just fine dosnt it?

btw im prepared to spend an extra $100 for the performance boost/reliability
