The last time I lived in IL I wasn't old enough to vote. I moved back to the state this summer and I am pretty much disgusted at the candidates that we have.

Seriously...is this the best that we can do? How freaking hard is it to actually get a candidate on the ballot that actually has some sort of a spine, a likeable personality, and a background that isn't riddled with bribes and controversy.

*sigh*

Yeh I know politics and news is "<----atta way" but this is more of a weak rant than any political commentary one way or the other.

I'm just very dissapointed that as a state, we actually put up with the steaming turds that are served to us on a plate each election.

It's almost like this state is proud of it. At this point I'd welcome a circus show like CA or MN had electing "The Governator" and Jesse Ventura. At least those guys make things interesting.

Our political septic tank needs a good flush.

this is the story of the entire election this year.. there are no good choices and no canidates i would trust running my car around the block let alone the country for 4 years..

Yep. Both parties suck. Oregon's choices are a sleazy attorney or the spineless incumbent who's done absolutely nothing in the past 4 years.

Yea, so much for all that "cleaning house" that was supposed to happen after Ryan got ousted.

I dunno... you almost have to push a little corruption under the carpet in this state. I mean, everyone knows Daley is in it up to his neck, but I wouldn't choose anyone else that they have put up against him.

Of course, Daley actually knows how to run a city, as opposed to the 2 jokers they have running for Governor. Oh well.
 
It isn't an Illinois governorship unless there are at least a few state and federal investigations underway..

Ah-Nold...who has been as crappy as Jesse "the Body" Ventura was for Minnesota, and whose work comp reforms has thoroughly screwed the working people, or Angelides, who is so uber-liberal that he was recently seen handing out Mexican flags at a rally...


For the first time in my life, it looks like I'm gonna have to vote for someone other than a Democrat.😱
 
My grandfather was a registered Democrat and died in 1995 and he still gets voting notices for every single IL election. 😛

I'm alive and I don't even get those notices. 😕

IL politics are crazy... they have dead people voting in every election, lol.

Blago is an idiot, the other is... well... scary too. I do know I'll not vote for Blago. It almost doesn't matter though. Its Chicago vs. the rest of the state.
