Finally found some good Chorizo spicy pork sausage to put in my breakfast burritos. BOY does it smell good when I fry it up! Made all the different in the world as far as the base taste for the wrap :)

Wellshire Farms, I think. A Whole Foods grocery store just opened up near me and they had some dairy-free Chorizo, so I snagged it (I'm allergic to dairy). Now I just gotta learn how to use spices properly and I can kick those McDonalds breakfast burritos to the curb! ;)

Are they in Canada? I don't think I've ever seen them.

Chorizo FTW. My dad brought back a bunch from Spain and I ate some. That stuff is awesome.

Hey Kaido, I was just wondering who makes chorizo with dairy products?

Everyone locally. The Wellshire Farms one was the only brand I've seen without any dairy product added.

chorizo is great stuff. the other super awesome sausage is chinese sausage. hard to come across though, unless you're at an asian supermarket.

Is there a special name for that Chinese sausage? Had it many years ago and I agree it's great stuff. Got a T&T(Chinese Grocery chain) across the street, but don't know what to look for as I assume there might be different types.

If you're near DC, Shoppers carries Logan sausage. You can get it there or at the Logan store out in west Arlington, I think, by 7 corners. They have all sorts of varities, mostly Latin American types.

almost every Latin American country has its own version of Chorizo and Longuiniza.

personally my favorite are the Mexican varieties because they are produced to essentially melt into the scrambled egg, potaotoes or beans. more of a flavoring than a sausage. though greasy, you dont need much because the flavor spreads so evenly.

the South American varieties generally are hard like sausage and eaten sliced up like a hot dog. I dont care for those so much.

when I used to serve in a restaurant, the spanish cooks would always ask me if I wanted some chorizo in my mouth.

"Quieres chorizo, joto? tengo para su boca!"

But we didn't have chorizo on the menu. It took me a few months before I realized what they meant :(
