Choppy Mouse Movments in windows due to graphics card....

Choppy Mouse Movments in windows due to graphics card....

Any one know how to fix this it is an xfx 7800gt.. I just got it did a fresh windows install and now my mouse movements in windows is very choppy.

Latest Driver is installed

Install your chipset drivers and DirectX9.0c. Try using Driver Cleaner and reinstalling your video drivers after installing the chipset drivers correctly. Also make sure you haven't somehow disabled hardware acceleration.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest ATI's website, or the website of the motherboard's manufacturer.

There should be a CD included with the board that has drivers, and there may be newer ones available by now online.

Does not the HP website have drivers for the part?

This does sound strange: I'd only have bad 2D performance until I install the video card driver.
Stupid question: your monitor is indeed connected to the 7800 and not the X200 graphics right?

yeah hehe, connected and disabled the x200 in bios.

went to the hp site nothing but grapics drives and light scribe drivers.. Ummmm

This is messed up... Any other thoughts.

I understand the term chipset drivers but do not under stand what exactley they are... If any one could explain them that would be great...

They're the drivers for the northbridge/southbridge chipset on the motherboard. Sometimes they are called 'motherboard' drivers.

Tell us what your computer is so we have some chance of actually assisting you...

Is this an HP system, or did you pull a MB out of some HP system and then build another box around it? 😕

In either case, tell us the MODEL NUMBER of the HP that the motherboard is from. Saying "I can't find drivers for my motherboard" and not telling us what it is... is pretty useless.

Edit: Do these work? The ones listed under "RS482M2" on the MSI website?

I have been adding parts to the hp like the grapics card and the ram, and the psu.... Soon i will have a new mobo...
Trying thos drivers as we speak the mn# m7330n on the hp

Yeah... they don't have any drivers for the motherboard, which is sort of odd -- although it does appear that you are trying to rebuild a Media Center system. They don't exactly build these things to be fully customizable.

They're probably expecting you to use the System Restore CD if you want to reinstall it, which should have drivers for the motherboard. The ones on the MSI website should work for that board, though.

You need to find chipset drivers that will work on your system, or else use their Restore CD to install and then strip out the crap you don't want. Without proper drivers for the motherboard, your performance will suck.

no cd that came with the system? try windows updating. that might help. helped me in more cases then once when i never had the system drivers.

did everything, my only hope i guess is when i get my new mobo in.... My other grapics card did not do this only this one makes me think.
