Ok I know this is a common issue with users of the game theater XP, but since their driver support and technical support is NON-EXISTANT, here goes:

Right now I'm running winxp pro with my gtxp and I'm trying to play any dvd with power dvd 4.
My problem is that the audio stutters every so often when using spdif output to my receiver.

After a few days of messing with it I finally figured out that when I disabled the VIA USB controllers for my motherboard entirely, then dvd playback is PERFECT with no problems. However I really don't won't to have to disable my mouse and all my usb peripherals just to watch a dvd movie. I also don't want to have to memorize the keyboard commands. Is there some sort of USB conflict that is a common problem with VIA chipsets?

Here is my rig:

Winxp
althlon 1.4
512 ddr
epox 87ka
hercules game theater xp
asus gf3 deluxe
a promise ide controller card
16x dvd

my dvd is in dma mode 2, whatever that is.

please help! ^_^

There is a list of devices that comes up while you are booting. Try to hit the pause key fast enough so you can read this list. If you can't hit the pause key fast enough then get a bootable floppy with ONLY the DOS system files on it, like you would for flashing your bios.
I think if you look at this list you might find that your sound card and you USB ports are sharing the same IRQ. To change this you will need to move the sound card to a different slot. By watching this list after each time you move the sound card, you can make it so the sound card isn't sharing IRQ's with any of the other cards in your system.
Windows won't show the IRQ's the way the BIOS sees them (Win95 and Win98 will), so don't expect the BIOS list to match the Windows list.
