I just got done watching fist legend, but on some scenes (when he fights his girlfriends uncle) it got really choppy for some reason. I was transfering some files this time so maybe thats the reason why but also I was watching rules of engagement and during some scenes of that it also got really choppy. I checked both cds and both of them have not been scratched. Now is it my dvd drive? I don't think I was low on memory either, here's my setup

Athlon Classic Slot A 750
Toshiba 4.8x Dvd Rom (i think its the 1202 model)
Micron pc133 256mb
Could it be my dvd-drive is messed up? Also why are faster dvd (like the new 16x) more expensive? DVD always reads at 1x right? is the extra speed reading the cd up ahead and acting sort of as a buffer?
