I'm thinking of getting a Dell 8300, however, I want to know which video card is best. I don't play much video games but I do watch a lot of cable tv.

Which would you choose and why? Are there any problems, if you experienced anything?

1.) 128MB DDR GeForce FX 5200 Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI
2.) 128MB DDR ATI RADEON? 9800 Pro Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI

Thanks in advance!

LOL, #1 is one of the weakest cards available and #2 is prolly the strongest card available and there is prolly a $250 difference in price but if u dont play games i would be the 5200

:) if you dont wanna play games get the 5200 and save the money if you wanna play games get the 9800 there both covered by warranty so if something goes wrong then it will be fixed as for the cards themselves they work fine no problems with either one with general use!

If you get the 9800 now and expect too play games 2 years from now then dont wast your money just get the 5200 and use that saved money for a better videocard 2 years from now ;)

The FX5200 is good for 2d purposes (ie browsing the web, word, etc.. everything "average" PC users do). For games, it's horrible. If you plan on doing any gaming at all, go for the 9800.

Also, Dell usually gives good deals on upgrades to 9800 non-pro and pro graphics cards.
