Hi...I just need some advice on PSU and Water Cooling product....My parts would include ---

Antec P180B Case.................(currently own)
Abit IP35 Pro........................(currently own)
Q6600..................................(currently own)
2 Hard Drives.......................(currently own 1 Hard Drive)
1 Optical Drive......................(currently own)
2 Cold Cathodes
4GB Crucial Ballistix Ram......(currently own 2GB)
Geforce 8800GTX in SLI
4 Case Fans..........................(currently own)

Now i have 3 questions one out of all the WC products available which would be best suitable for the above setup at a cost efficient rate....now i was planning of using the Koolance Exos 2.5(the one with radiator fan) is this a good product ?? Or is there something better.....with the WC kit i was gonna cool the CPU, both the GPU and the Bridge on the MoBo......Should i use only those products available from Koolance to cool these components or can i use a mixture...plus is 10mm better than 6mm piping and the last question what power PSU is suitable for this set...would Corsair 620 and is a modular cable system better than the other

The 620 is fine, build a custom loop or buy this with the memory heatsinks, two kits for sli, the high speed yates and a fan controller to quiet them. Aigo's favorite, all total came to $505 plus shipping.
With your system that is what I would use at a bare minimum, I would prefer a dual loop and NB cooling as well.
Koolance won't cut it. They have gotten better but still are not worth the money, the loop I suggest is upgradable, a top performer and you can add any brand parts you choose, just stick with copper and this loop will outlive more than one PC.

Bill, your link didn't work.

You'll be puzzled looking for floorspace e.g. for the pump, if you don't realized that the middle section of the P180/182 case (drive holder and plastic guides) comes completely apart, down to bare metal ceiling and floor, by removing a bunch of tiny screws. With your equip list, you don't need this as drive space, and it'll be convenient to have the extra space for your water gear.

Are you sure 620 is fine with 8800GTX in SLI setup with the watercooling kit.....I am just curious bcoz i already have 4 X 120mm Case fans installed on ma system...And ma PC is on almost 24/7 mostly idle and downloading something or doing some minor stuff like photoshop or video encoding but when i do i PLAY a LOT!! AND i would really appreciate it if i would not have to change the PSU after 2-3 years only.............plus I am really getting confused with all the different parts >_<....the only reason i had ever thought of Koolance was bcoz it was one of those all in one kit...PUMP and RADIATOR and Temp Gauge...but since a LOT of ppl hate it i guess its better not to go for it....OK now approx what would be the total cost of getting each and every part seprately to kool the CPU, GPU, and MotherBoard...would it go more than 500...bcoz i would love to utilize good parts

bump..!!! and Wats the difference between a single pass radiator and a double pass radiator....and according to the guide i was thinking of getting the Thermochill?s PA Radiator + Shroud to place it on top of my PC...Is it ok to place it on top of my PC case.....and the IWAKI RD30 untill i found out it cost's $200+.... although it looks like a good investment its just too costly.....is there any other good choise for the pump...preferably around the cost below $110

watercooling systems do not tax the psu.

The 620 by corsair was shown and tested to handle a quad B3 + 2 8800GTX.

The total power draw on the watercooling kit would be at the pump side. Which is around 1.5Amps at most. So its tiny compared to your gpu or cpu.

1.5Amps = 1.5 x 12V = 18W!

Ohh i see.....I was just worried thats why i asked again.....so any suggestions on the PUMP that could be a bit cost efficient.....i really dont feel like shelling 200+ on a pump alone.....and are the Koolance Blocks any good or are they also horrible...

start a new thread and list your entire parts you wish to watercool.

Also list budget and if you would like quiet or straight out performance.

We'll help you with the rest.
