So I have a car that can use 265/70r15 or p225/75r15 tires. Actually, my sub-model (along with another one, i think) uses p265/70r15, but the other sub-models use p225/75r15. Can I go with p225/75r15 if it's cheaper, or would that be a mistake? Thanks!

What kind of car is this? A 225 and a 265 width tire are very different. Keep in mind the other sub models that may use the narrower tire may be using steel wheels that are narrower if you have upgraded wheels.

What is the current size on the SUV?

What size is listed in the door jamb? Should be a sticker there with the size on the car?

What size is the spare tire? Assuming you have a full size spare.
