Choosing specifically between Mandrake 8.x and RH 7.x

Which is better for a newbie with some clue, no real experience beyond the classroom and the desire to use it on a regular basis for the purpose of GETTING really comfortable with it.

Also, not just which, but why?

I recently installed both RedHat 7.2 and Mandrake 8.1.

I found Mandrake much more 'user friendly' for a newby......like me.

In my experience, redhat is only slightly less user friendly then Mandrake, but a heck of a lot more stable.
