Choosing RAID drives

A while back I tried setting up RAID using WD3200JD drives, but had problems with the drives getting dropped from the array. After doing a little research, it seems that I should've used RE2 drives with TLER. Recently I've meaning to give RAID a try again, and thought I'd give Seagate a shot this time. I was leaning toward getting some 7200.10 drives, when I noticed the Barracuda ES series, which sounds like it has something similar to TLER. Is this correct? Which drives are actually usuable for SATA RAID?
