Choosing new build

Hi,

I haven't built a system for a few years so don't know what is best right now. I have a CNC mill that requires a PC >1GHz with at least 512MB memory. I have been using an elderly Tyan Tiger Athlon MP which has burnt the power conector out so need to build a new system. You guys have any suggestions on the motherboard and CPU? I want to keep the cost down as much as possible.

You can get a brisbane 5050e for 59.99 shipped and an ecs geforce6100pm for $45.99 shipped plus a $10 rebate. Both for about $106 shipped. Add some patriot viper 2x2gb of pc6400 for $34.99 after rebate. It is case 4 with 4-4-4-12 timings. All prices from newegg.com.
