Choosing GTX or GT

😎I want to buy graphics card. Kindly help me out should I choose Nvidia 7900GTX (single) or (two) 7900GT's? In my budget I can buy one GTX or Two GT's

Thanks

2 x 7900 GTs are the way to go if you don't think you will ever have the money for a 2nd 7900 GTX.

Here are some benchmarks, incase you are wondering what the performance difference is.

Do two eVGA 7900 gt's. That way if you don't like the performance, you could step up later. I must warn you though, the 7900 GTX's are having a lot of problems. Out of the 3 GTX's I have received...only 1 has been problem free.

Any particular brand? This makes me nervous 'cause I'm getting one from eVGA next week from its step-up program.

I think SLI is overkill, with not that many benefits.

I would either do a 7900GT and volt mod it to 7900GTX speeds, or just go with one 7900GTX. Also keep in mind that you lose 256MB of memory if you do the 7900GT's.

Then again, I wouldnt buy either. I would rather spend my $ on a x1800xt 512MB or x1900xt, which I plan on doing in the next week or so.

SLI is generally a waste of money; it's generally more efficient to buy the next generation when it comes out and sell your current card. I would buy a 7900GT and volt-mod to GTX speeds.

how about 1 x1900xt? Works great for me. I also own a 7900 GT and it seems good enough to play COD2 1280x1024 2xAA 8XAF smoothly as well as fear, BF2. The only game my 7900 GT really chugs in is Oblivion...

BTW, I said x1900xt cos it supports AA+HDR. Proven to be a great capability with Oblivion.
