which of these is the best option for a p3-600 system? (all retail)
- 32mb Radeon DDR ($199)
- 32mb Prophet 2 MX ($199)
- 64mb Prophet 4500 KyroII ($229)
Canadian prices of course.
I was thinking the KyroII, but I'm not totally sold on it. What do you think?

If you don't have the option of a GTS, I'd probably go with the Radeon, as the Kyro needs a huge CPU to run half decent(or so I hear). :)
I ain't no expert, but my vote is for the Radeon based on those three options.

I'd suggest the Radeon as well. I have a Radeon with a P3 700 and I'm happy with the overall performance.

I like my Radeon, but i'm not sure about the CPU scaling efficiency.
I hope you have FC-PGA, and can upgrade later.

Thanks guys. I forgot about the Kyro's CPU scaling. With that in mind, I'll go with the Radeon. Gotta love ATi, being Canadian and all :)
btw, what's FC-PGA? Considering this is an upgrade right now, I don't want to think too much about upgrading again later

FC-PGA stands for Flip Chip Pinned Grid Array; it's the motherboard socket form that the current P3s and Celerons use.

FC-PGA2 boards should be coming out soon - FC-PGA processors fit in FC-PGA2, as will the upcoming Tualatin processor.
