Choosing between DFI Lanparty UD Ultra-d & Epox 9NPA + SLi

First off, I live outside of US, in Dubai, UAE. So US price wont be applicable in my case.

Ok here is the dilemma. I can get Epox 9NPA + SLi for about US$20 cheaper than DFI Ultra-D. I have absolutely no need for SLi because this is for office computer. So my question is:

1. Is it ok to run SLi card with just once graphic card?
2. Is the DFI a better board?
3. Or for an office computer that will be mainly used for photoshop and designer work, am I better off with Epox 9NPAJ (Plain NF4 mobo)?

My proposed rig will involve:

AMD 3800+ X2
1 Gig generic DDR 400 RAM
A Cheap video card only for 2D (Geforce 6200 or X300 SE)
160 GB SATA
One Optical drive.

My main concern is that PSU recommendation for DFI (min 480 W) mean I will have to pay about $100-150 (here they are expensive) a decent PSU from Enermax. I thoght Epox mobo will not require so much power and I may be able to go with an Aopen Housing + PSU (H600A) which has 350W PSU with +12V at 18A. Also Epox is supposed to be less choosy about RAM.

I plan to do some overclocking (2.4 GHz).

Can somebody tell me which is a better deal? Epox web site do not mention whether it can take X2 processors. Is this the case or there is a bios update for Epox Mobo to accept X2 processors?

Thanks in advance.

Epox 9PNA+ Ultra would be a better bet than the SLI version.

Anand gave the Epox an Editor's Choice in their roundup.

I am going to get the same board for my own upgrade.

You might also consider a 500w or so PSU. I know they are expensive, but for system stability and longevity, they are worth it. Try Antec, OCZ, etc. The Antec True Power II 550 is only $123.00 here in Ontario Canada.

Get a decent video card like a cheap 6600GT.

Get decent ram if you're going to OC. Corsair has some decent ram at a reaspnable price.

Dual core support for 9PNA+ Ultra since 7/28/2005.

Hope this is helpfull.
