Choosing a Video Camera

Well, my parents now have their first grandson, courtesy of my sister and brother in law. I would like to buy my parents a digital video camera in the <$500 category. There are just so many out there that I don't know where to start. The features that I am looking for are:
- Digital Format
- Has a steady picture
- Decent Optical Zoom
- Decent in low light conditions

I really appreciate your input.

My dad just pruchased one of these... I've used it and it has pretty good picture quality. Look for coupons from dell... I think my dad got it for 25% off.
