Choosing a scanner

Faced with the real possibility that I will never get my Microtek i900 scanner to work with Windows 7 64 bit and a 6-core CPU, I'm looking at 3 scanner in the affordable (for me) $200 give or take area. I scan film, slides, photos and documents. The candidates are the HP G4050, Epson V600 and Canon 9000F. Since even Microtek says their i480 does only a mediocre job with slides I leave it out. Ideas? Thanks
 
microtek suks, has for years, apparently will continue to do so for the foreseeable future...

HP's consumer lines of scanners are not far behind them IMHO 🙂

Canon & Epson would be my top 2 choices in the consumer lines, HP for the prosumer/semi-professional, then Kyocera for strictly pro use.....

I've done this and while it works it's kind of a hassle. Honestly you can get good wireless all-in-ones for $59 on sale at officemax and officedepot. The Brother AIOs routinely go on sale at this price and have really cheap replacement ink. I have a j430w and it's been awesome all year.
 
I just love my HP all in one wireless scanner. UI can print from all our computer!

Also the ink cartridges from Cannon and Epson are way more expensive!!
