I have a an DFI LanpartyUT with an AMD 3000+, 1GB of ram, ATI Radeon 9600. My current PSU doesn't seem to put out enough juice to power all three of my case fans. My monitor goes whack and such. What power supply would you recommend to replace it? I currently have an Antec somethingorother I bought at Best Buy and brought it over from my old rig when I built this one. Any advice is appreciated.

My fav. is the Antec TruPower 420 (430?) mine never drops voltage and stays within the range great on an Athlon 64 3400+ (1mb cache) 1gb ram, radeon9700 (flashed pro), 2 dvd drives, and 2 hard drives.

Please search or read one of the other threads on this exact same topic.

I find it hard to recommend Antec right now because their PSU's are so out of date, hence the reason they are releasing the TruePower2.0 line. For a system like that, i would recommend looking at Seasonic and Enermax as both are ATX2.0 compliant. Nothing wrong with Antec and you shouldn't have a problem running such a low power system unless your PSU is only like a 250Watt (Doubt it, dont think Bestbuy sells them that low).

If I were buying a PSU today, I would be buying the XClio 450 (actually made by Channel Well as are most Antec and some other brand names). Active PFC and enough power for all but the most heavily loaded systems for < $60. shipped. Follow the "product link" on the lower left of Newegg's full description page...

p.s. I really wish you people would search for other PSU threads here and in the Cases & Cooling section. All this stuff has been rehashed OVER and OVER in the last couple of weeks.

Here, have a  ! My Berserker comes today...
