Choosing a new card

My GTX 460 2win just isn't cutting it now. Playing Battlefield is torture and the overheat actually crashed my computer. I had GPU-Z open on the other monitor, which told me that my GPUs were only around 75% load, but my VRAM was completely maxed.That means its time to move up.

First, I want Nvidia, mostly for PhysX. There are three options presenting themselves to me:

EVGA GTX 660Ti Superclocked 3GB

EVGA GTX 670 Superclocked 4GB

Wait for Titan 7-series.

Will there be a comprable 7-series price-wise? Is the higher bit rate and vram worth $100?
The 660 Ti is my choice right now. I only play in 1920x1080.

The rumors today state that GK 700 series graphices cards wont be out until Q3 / Q4 2013, late this year.

If you only play at 1080P you shouldn't need a card with more VRAM than 2GB.

Not true. Max Payne 3 took well over 2GB in all its MSAAx16 glory.

Titan will be a boutique high end card for $700+. I would strongly recommend nabbing that 670. You'll love it.

Why is that? The VRAM is lower which I want for full AA, and how much will 256-bit outperform 192-bit?

I have 2 GTX 460 1GB SLI and I'm saving up for 2 GTX 660 2GB. The extra 1GB will really help and will keep your 660s relevant for many moons to come.

By the way, the GTX 660 is about 70% faster than a GTX 460 1GB.

Awesome, thanks. Strenghthening my thoughts about the 660Ti. The dual 460 (which I have on one card) really are surprisingly good for the price you pay.

I'll get SLI 660ti eventually too. Which leads me to another question. What difference is there between a 16x/16x PCIe 2.0 SLI and a 16x/8x PCIe 3.0? Basically asking if I should keep this board if I plan on SLI.
