Choosing a Laptop

Seems like its worth it for the 1.7. Considering you get a higher processor speeds, twice as much RAM, and 20GB more of hard drive space.
 
Check out portableone.com . They have about the best deals on Fujitsu S6000/S7000 series that I've seen; if I were to buy a Fujitsu I'd buy from them. You can upgrade the hard drive, etc. at time of purchase, and they're reputed to offer great support. Their prices for RAM upgrades are really close to the price of memory from Kingston direct.

Also, did you consider the S6220? It's really similar, but slightly smaller, even lighter, and with a much better screen. It's a great machine. The S7000 series does not offer the Crystal View screen.
