i was running a raid setup with two 80gb sata hard drives with windows xp installed on it. recently i've been running out of disk space real bad so i deleted the raid array (mirroring) which let free the other portion of the 80gb giving me a total of 160gb. i had an extra 40gb ide laying around so i decided to partition it as primary master and install winxp on this drive as a system disk (i want to keep the two 80gb for storage use for apps etc.) I installed winxp on the 40gb then deleted all the partitions and reformated the two 80gb sata drives. Now, everytime I start up the computer a menu (F8) asks me to choose an operating system in 25 sec. The new os is located on the primary master 40gb, and the two 80gb have already been reformated clean. why does the computer still think I have two os? should i reformat the 40gb and reinstall a fresh copy of windows? i also chose quick format, does this mean that the data wasn't completely wiped out on the sata drives?

Edit C:\BOOT.INI to eliminate the phantom installation. It's a hidden system/OS file so set your Folder Options to view hidden and protected-OS files.
