Choose Mcfly's future

I wont lie, this poll will really have no bearing on my decision. just posted it to see what people think...

I am in my sophmore year currently.... I am seriously debating switching to computer science because im not 100% sure i'd enjoy any field in Law Enforcement... If i do though it will cost me at least another semester.

Should I stick with a Law Enforcement Justice Administration (LEJA) major and graduate?
Or should i switch to Computer Science (CS) major and stay probably another semester longer?

A switch to computer science would be a fantastic change. Don't pay any attention to the fact that the IT industry has been in the dumps for years and IT is being outsourced to India and other 3rd world countries. Go for it. May you live long and prosper.

where do you go to school? do you like school?

Western IL university. I love school. Ive made great friends here. I also love the classes I am taking and am learning a lot. I just dont think I want to head in that direction.

Im still debating the minor thing, just wondering how strong that would set me if i decide not to do anything computer related in Law enforcement... Any of you tech people just minor in Computer science?

I think I've mentioned this before, but if you're not sure you want to be in LE, GET OUT. The degree you'll get will be pretty much worthless if you want something in another field, so you should really switch before it's too late.

Yeah you did. Like i said, i wasnt ever thinking of doing field work though. More inside work. But who knows?

switch to EE, and find out if it acutaly takes 1.21 Jiggawats to power a flux capacitor 😀
Me, i would go with CS, you can always hope that the jobs will come back, or that new ones will be created.
Good luck to you on whatever you choose.

What kind of inside work? If you intend to work for a PD/SO you'll almost have to do a few years of patrol before you can move around in the agency.
