Choose between 2 Aerocools, 1 Thermaltake

I am of the opinion that I will never buy another ThermalTake product again. So out of those selections, I'd go with the black Aerocool... Out of those.

I'd probably go with the Tt as it's more conservative looking. And those particular model Aerocools don't have much to recommend them other than looks.

.bh.

I recently built a system for a friend using a Sonata. It's a nice case, plenty of room, and some nice little features that made cable tidying much easier and more invisible.

Haven't used any of the Aerocool ones, but theres an AeroEngine 3 you might want to look at, with huge 25cm fan. hehe.

I haven't had much experience with other cases, so can only offer my opinion that the Sonata showed a god few instances where I thought, oh cool, someone has actually THOUGHT about this when they designed it.

Also, the fans are noisy. Don't know about the 92, but the 120s are. Even with the annoying honeycomb mesh/grill crap removed.

noisy fans can always be replaced or voltage lowered to quiet them down.

I can't stand noisy fans so I'm always finding ways to shut them up. Then a fan that I thought I already shut up becomes audible because the others are now quieter, darnit!!!! 😛

tt = crap. out of those i'd take any of the aerocools but thats considering theres no better cases to choose from

the thing is, that i want a case that has some cool design on it....even if the case is of slightly lesser quality....this is why i go for cases that look 'cool' ....i lot of people have been recommending me cases, that although have excellent features (e.g. cooling, etc..), but they dont 'look' good...for example the Lian Li casing,....no doubt it has excellent features.....but the casing look dull to me... 😛

How about the Raidmax X-1, then?

you said you're 20...? lol
just take the lian li pc-7b case, hide every wire via good cable management, add some cold cathodes then it'd look 'COOL'

LOL. 996GT2 is the same way. I tell him: "Sell that Wave Master and buy a Lian Li instead." What I get back: "No, Lian Li is too standard, doesn't look good enough."

Yeah...WTF. I would take a case with uber 120mm cooling than a case with 80mm fans. Blah.

Grab the PC-7B Plus II w/window and throw in some LED fans. I maybe have a Raidmax X-1, but my door is always opened (due to my craze for max airflow) so you never see the front LED display anyway.
