I'm planning on taking a random weekend or 3 day vacation to some city within 2-3 months. Where should I go? I'll be flying so some time will be saved. I'm already planning one to Boston and Dallas. I'd like to keep it in the eastern or central time zones. Florida cities will be done later, so I'm not considering those right now.

EDIT: I live in Atl if that makes a difference and I am from St.Louis, so both those cities should not be options.

EDIT2: It will be just me on this trip

I've been to three of the cities in the list, but that has no bearing in my mind on going there again. Two of the three were quite some time ago as well. As such, pretend they will all be new to me.

What I want to do there - namely eat out, do something touristy like visit a museum, park etc., and go out one of the nights

No particular reason, I have a chance to travel around a bit, so why not take the opportunity?

By yourself, or will there be a SO with you?

Good point, I'm realizing many things I left out of the OP. It will be just me, it's just a fun break from grad school before spring break (Boston/Stl) and after New Years (Dallas)

Since it's still during the winter months everywhere else, i chose DC just because it's at least warmer than any of the others. :)
