I am getting the 3.4 ghz P4 2 mb cache getting 2 mb cache is a worthwhile move right?
what difference does it make?

Also the geforce 6800GS good choice there too I hope.

The mobo I'm unsure about.
I didn't want to go with the intel board, because I'd like to be able to overclock a bit at least.
The only other option I got is Asus. these 4 are my options.

Asus P5LD-2VM
Asus P5AD2-EP
Asus P5WD2-EP
Asus P5WDG2WS

Which one would you go for?

What are you going to be using this PC for?

What programs and applications are you going to run on it?

The P5LD2-VM sucks for overclocking, you have to overclock the PCIe bus to get past ~222mhz FSB. The P5WD2-EP is probably the best, but it's expensive. If you get a 3.4 P4, make sure you get a 651, thats the 65nm version and they overclock better and run cooler. If you get a prescott version, well good luck they are flamethrowers. my 550 was throttling at stock speeds. Personaly I wouldn't get a netburst chip at all.

I'm getting the non-Prescott version of the P4 3.2Ghz 2mb cache prcessor, however, as I've been told there is no 651 , it's the 640+ , what's the difference ?

Will any of those boards let you drop a Conroe in when they're released? It might be something to consider before choosing a board.
