Hey I'm gonna be buying a car sometime in the near future and I'm stuck between 3 cars. The supra MK3, 6th or 7th gen celica, or the 90-96 Mr2. I want something that's good stock but can be modded.. gonna go against my brothers stock FC t rex (rx7)

Not to worried about that to be honest

I'll be honest, you're on the wrong forum. You're most likely about to be called a ricer and told to stop draining your parents money. As far as the cars you originally mentioned, in my opinion the MR2 is the funnest and is relatively easy to modify and repair. Supras are nice but you're going to need big(ger) money to get one in good condition and it's not worth it in my opinion.

Now, coming from someone who was allowed to buy (with my own money and pay my own insurance) a '00 Corvette as my third car when I was 17, don't do it. Get a newer, nicer, slower car and learn your way around it first. Without the experience from my pickup truck and Jetta, that car would have killed me and it nearly did on multiple occasions anyways.

Jlee has one of these I think, it would be my choice out of the group as well.

Stop being a ricer and just get a simple Corolla or Civic. Wait until you are a good driver and then use your own money instead of Mommy's to get a nicer car.

I'd be worried about the time and cost it will take to get those cars into good condition and keep them there. Or you'll pay out the ass for a mint one.

Ricer or not, the fourth gen F-bodies are rather fast with the LS1, not very expensive, super reliable and very cheap to repair. Handling actually isn't bad with a bit of a suspension and good tires, plus gas mileage is very good considering its a 350HP V8.

Just don't turn into Nick Hogan, whatever route you go.

Get a beater, learn to drive, then upgrade. Otherwise you're just paying out the ass for insurance in addition to being a menace to your fellow drivers.

My thoughts exactly. No matter what you think you're going to be a lousy driver for the first year or two (or more) that you have your license. Get something cheap, safe and in good mechanical condition and drive it for a while until you get used to driving.

If you can't drive yet your idea of the car you want is based off more what you think would be cool to have rather than what you actually like to drive. Get some experience first before you dump time and money into a project like this.

Either one should suit your purposes fine. Your purposes obviously being multiple run ins with cops and/or horrific accidents. But of course we're all idiots, you already know everything there is about driving. Which is why you're asking about which car to buy here.

Carry on.
