choice between two wireless options for Thinkpad T43

I'm about to order a T43, but I'm confused by the two wireless options provided by the website: Intel 2915 ABG and ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi Wireless II. Price are the same for two models which only vary in this wireless card while remain rest of the configuration the same. But when sold seperately, Thinkpad one seems to be a little bit more expensive.

I remember that several guys used to complain about Intel 2200BG, while others said that Thinpad wifi cannot pick up signal as well as Intel especially when the signal is weak.

Does anyone know about the difference of these two in performance?

TIA

find out the chipset on the thinkpad one. Intel is ok, atheros is better (imho) and broadcom is....well, I would be censored if I gave my opinion

I have used both on my Dell Latitude D505. Atheros is much better in my opinion.

1. the Atheros utility is better written, much smaller than Intel
2. Atheros provides Super A/G. Couple with the right AP, the throughput is higher
3. Atheros has the option for adjusting transmit power level, which can lower the power consumption and extend the battery life
