What hardware are you going to be powering?

Where are you buying the power supply from - why such limited choices?

RM550 - it's pretty good, especially for that price. RM series tends to be priced pretty high.
G750M - not a bad quality unit either, but RM is a bit better. Thing is, I don't know if you need the extra 200 watts or not.
EVGA 500W - a good chunk lower quality than the above two (the unit in particular, not the brand as a whole). I would pay $20 extra for a Gold rated Corsair with 5yr warranty, even for a budget system.

The Corsair is probably Seasonic, I'd have to look it up, if you're set on limiting it to what you can just pick up there I'd go that route.

Most Corsairs (by far) are CWT, as is this one

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/h9LT7P this will be used, i think its plenty
Also g3258 will be OC

7970 with G3258 could work but... I don't like the idea of a dual thread CPU for a modern gaming PC, even an overclocked Haswell one. I would rather buy i3-4160 using stock cooler, or look for a used i5 combo.

RM550 is indeed enough for 7970. 50% off? nice. Go for it.

I like the Whirlpool list, but it needs a little updating what with all the newer units and revisions coming out.

OP, even OC'ing the G3258, I don't care for it as a gaming chip... in fact, I sold mine and bought a used i5 2500K in lieu of it. My Pentium did not OC well (partially because of the chip, partially the mobo...) and while it made a fine GP processor, it was not a good gamer.

The problem with the Corsair RM series is that their components aren't as high quality as other corsair ranges (AX/HX etc) or similar priced ranges from other manufacturers. They are decent but you don't get quite what you pay for like 105c Japanese capacitors.

(they are Japanese, just rated at 85c)

The EVGA Supernova G2 series are made by SuperFlower and the Supernova GS series are made by Seasonic, both very good OEMs.

What exactly is your power requirement? The EVGA seems a bit random there at the lower price point and wattage. If you're willing to spend around $70 and you only need around 500 watts I would look at the 550 watt EVGA SuperNova GS. I just picked one up, 100% modular, gold certified, and everything I read is very good (high quality parts).
