I like cookie dough. Chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin.

For chocolate chips, try Guittard, my favorite. Safety? Not so far a problem.

But I've noticed warnings now on most of the cookie dough packages.

So I'm a bit wary.

That's why you don't buy cookie dough in packages! :p I make my own.

Sometimes it's good.
We have store which makes cookies that after a few days get soft and gooey and go back to almost dough like consistency.

But everyone knows it's better in dough form. Why waste it on cookies??

This type of idiocy belongs in P&N. Chocolate chip cookies are the very best in that tiny window between 'Holy shit the molten chocolate is boiling my skin off' and ' Awww....this only slightly warm and isn't gooey anymore.'

Funny you should say that, but I made this with half a bag of chocolate chips instead of the called for full bag.

I think I see part of the problem right there. You have not properly domesticated a female who will make the cookies for you in the manner to which you prefer. The cookies prepared for me are lucky if there is any dough between the chips!

Chocolate chip cookies...especially home made ones...are one of my trigger foods. I will actually keep eating them until I throw up. Not sure why.

From what I have heard its now ok to eat dough if the egg was thoroghly washed before using. I have no idea how valid that is though

i believe that most eggs are required to go through a sterilization step which involves uv exposure
packaged food products might also undergo a rapid heating and then cooling cycle designed to kill bacteria while not cooking the product
