In SmartFTP, the program I use, I just right click on the folder and go to "Properties/CHMOD".

I'm using ws_ftp pro, doesn't have that option.

Which file are you attempting to CHMOD?

Should be able to do this within DirectAdmin control panel (www.yourdomain.com:2222), login, click File Manager, open public_html directory, file the .php file or folder(s) then there should be an option to CHMOD.

In WS_FTP just RIGHT CLICK on the file, towards the bottom there is an option to CHMOD.

What are you installing?

I'm finishing up the IB install... 😀 WS_FTP doesn't have it.

WS_FTP does allow you to CHMOD.
