Chlorine: does it hurt CDs/DVDs?

At one of our house parties someone must've dumped a beer on my binder full of movies. Now the pages stink and stick together somewhat. Rather than try to clean each page/disc seperately, can I just dunk the whole thing in our backyard pool? I just want to make sure pool chlorine doesn't chew up discs.

If you have a spare CD to burn, try it and see if it's still readable. My guess is yes, it'll be fine, but it's always good to check.

Pools don't have enough chlorine to really do much... concentrations are lowwwwww.

Wait, why not just dunk it in a tub of regular water?

just use normal warm water
put the whole thing into a large sink or tub and wash it all off with warm water
