Chlamydia and YOU

How would you approach the prospect of having this STD?

Just take the prescription that cures it, if you have it, it dies, if you don't, you've POSSIBLY contributed to reducing the effectiveness of anti-biotics.

OR

Shove a cotton swab up your URETHRA, then take the cure only if you have it.

Around my area, the doctors usually just say take the pills. If you have it it's gone, if you don't, no sweat.

Technically, it isn't a cotton swab, it is something more on the synthetic fiber side. Your standard q-tip is just too wide for this test. Just test and make sure before you drug up on the doxycycline.

If you don't have it, how does it reduce effectiveness of the antibiotic? There is no bacteria to develop resistance to the drug.

Introducing antibiotics into your system may also needlessly affect other bacteria which would otherwise have not been exposed, allowing those to become drug resistant. There are lots of germs in our bodies that are perfectly fine where they are, such as in the gut, but if you were injured and they spread, or other circumstances simply allowed a particular bug to start spreading suddenly, then they can cause disease by being where they aren't supposed to be, and now you've got a drug-resistant strain loose in your body.

I'd like to suggest seeing a doctor. Also, stop sleeping with bar flys.

longterm using antibiotics haphazardly will be a bad decision...bacteria gains resistance.

Yup, I get a reoccurring ear infection because I didn't take ALL the damn pills.

And NO, I didn't get the ear infection THAT WAY!

I'm no longer worried about the viability of my reproductive organs....where is the option for 'let it ride'?

Syphilis? Different story........
