two problems here.
1) I hooked up a HD I haven't used in a while. most of it works fine. with some of the directories on there I get this...
"the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" and it won't let me access it
what causes this and is there any way to fix it?
2) twice now, when I've done a chkdisk, FILES DISAPPEAR ! random files and random folders just... vanish. is this normal? what the hell causes it?
