CHKDISK errors

I recently set CHKDISK to run on my C:/ Drive, rebooted to let the program run and I received an error message that it was unable to open the volume. It then rebooted back to my main OS. But now every time I boot up, CHKDISK still continues to try to run and I get the same error message each time. How do I either get CHKDISK to run, or get it to stop trying to run each time I boot up?

No problem. Got it from a coworker when he wasn't complaining about his single lifestyle.

Or his loneliness.
Or the fact he smooched off his parents.
Or he was still at the same job.
