I had been having sound card headaches and decided to remove my SB Audigy in favor of the native sound card on the motherboard. But really, its quality was lacking, and having obtained nice new speakers, I decided to return the Audigy.
Well, this led to the return of an annoying problem. I will get a random burst of a chirping noise that sounds like Morse Code. They go moderate and fast, then trail off.
I'm assuming this is a SB problem because it stopped when I use the onboard sound (Realtek) and it came back when the SB returned. The question is, what IS it and is there a way to stop it?
