You know, all quackery commentary about chiropractors aside, I can pretty faithfully say this is a piece of crap.

It comes in one size. I'm reasonably certain all spines are the same length, nor do they all share the same "perfect" contour.

i don't see anything wrong with it as far as it being a device to passively help alignment.

it doesn't replace an adjustment, though. that's what helps slow down disc degeneration. the pops you hear when you get an adjustment are byproducts of the adjustment... they're not the adjustment themselves. it's important to get the proper motion through the disc, which is done best at a precise line of drive at a high velocity and low amplitude.

if i were you, i'd get one, but i wouldn't use it as a replacement for an adjustment. it's likely that if you use this frequently, you'll find that you won't need to see the chiropractor as often. alignment is a big part of why the adjustment needs to be made. if the alignment is perfect, there's not much need to chiropractic adjustment.

edit: i should also add that it really depends, also, on how bad your back really is.

I had AIDS before I went to the chiropractor, now I don't. You be the judge.

almost all adult spines are roughly the same length, give or take an inch (unless you have some kind of condition that limits your growth). spines of males are a little bigger than spines of females, but they're all about the same length per gender.

Typical chiropractic precision - "yeah, it's about there, give or take an inch". It doesn't really make any difference anyway if your treatment is BS one way or the other I suppose.

I know it won't replace a more thorough exam, adjustment, etc. but I figured using one of these might make those visits less frequent, as well as help my overall spinal health.

WTF is that thing? Wouldn't the "realignment" this thing provides stop working once you got back up? I'm not even sure realignment is possible. If I sit in a chair for a few hours are my legs going to realign into a L shape?

?

the average spine is 70 cm (27.5 inches), which is why i said it's roughly about the same size, give or take an inch. not everyone is the same, but when it comes to length of the spine, it's roughly about the same for everyone.

leave it to a slimy, ignorant bitch like you to try and make what i said into a jab at chiropractors.

what's funny is that you said it was "typical chiropractic precision," as if you know a goddamn about chiropractors or chiropractic care lol

your analogy doesn't work, but you're right... you're not going to be realigned by this thing when you get off of it. i imagine that it's goal is to try and use your body's weight and gravity against the device to slowly shift vertebrae back to where they're supposed to be, if you use it multiple times a day everyday.

i don't know too much about the product, so i can't say for sure. like i said, it's worth a shot. if the op feels like it's helping and his chiropractor says it's helping and the op has to come in less frequently, then awesome. money well spent.
