Hi there, can you tell me if any of you chiropractors out there would use the graston tool over inner ankle, directly on nerve (while patient is gritting and bearing the teeth for the duration) to treat tarsal tunnel syndrome?

I think the only back-cracker we ever had here left a few years ago.

its a stupid technique that has been around for a while but is just now becoming mainstream. there are youtube videos of this crap where the "Dr" leaves the patients back a black and blue mess from all the bruising. It causes undue trauma and they hide behind the "chiropractic Dr" shield saying its a valid treatment. Why would a "Dr" want to irritate an area that's already inflamed? That's not how healing is accomplished.

It boggles my mind that a "Dr" would think that inflaming the tarsal tunnel using the the graston technique would in any way relieve the compression of the posterior tibial nerve.

Chiropractors aren't real doctors, they go to fake schools and get fake degrees where they mix science and quackery. Go to a DPT as they actually have to learn real science and physiology.

If you insist on going to frauds and quacks, at least go to naturopaths or acupuncturists. They definitely won't fix your problem, but at least they won't make it worse (other than by not treating anything).

Meh...I'm a believer in chiropractic....to a point. Even my neurosurgeon recommended chiropractic treatment as part of my therapy and pt.
No, I don't think having your back cracked will ure cancer or un-fuck your girlfriend... but for back problems, it CAN be helpful.

A bartender can be helpful as well. They both will make you feel better for a bit but I wouldn't trust anything they tell you about your physiology.

I was in a chiropractor's office for not even 5 minutes.

He wanted to grab my neck and 'crack' it.

Nope.

Here is your fee and you will never see me ever again.

People will do all kinds of stupid things if you offer them a quick fix to their problem that requires no work on their part.

agree. its when the industry makes ir more than what it is, is when i have a issue with it. getting your back, and neck cracked is just the same cracking your knuckles. just a release in gas. it feels good

a chiro fixed my mom years ago, she was an RN and completely skeptical but the entire bunch of MDs she had at her disposal had no help for her migranes.
He took a VERY thorough set of x-rays and a long history, and figured out she had been in a car wreck and hit the roof of the car, ever so slightly compressing one of the vertebral spaces.
A couple of adjustments later, and she never had one of those headaches again. It's purely anecdotal, but for her it was the best. I think she visited him another couple of times, he took one more x-ray to confirm and that was that.
