i talked with a bozo from thermalright who told me the 9x5 version of the nb-1(c) won't be out for a couple of months....a couple of months? WTF??? how long has this chipset been out? how hard is it to make a retention bracket, or whatever, that'll fit a simple chipset?

anyways....

i'm i'm gonna wait, i might as well look into water cooling my chipset. i like the idea of having at least one fan close to my mobo to add some good circulation (with a block on my vid card and one on my processor, my northbridge gets a lil toasty), but having everything watercooled sounds great, too.

any info on anything water or air on this chipset? how long we gotta wait?

Have you looked around for a universal solution? Polarflo produces blocks in this class.

the product descriptions were vague. they looked sweet, though. like the blue background with the chrome tips myself

Yeah, they look MUCH better than the older ones. You might try looking around some place wth a large selection, like FrozenCPU to see if they have something. How long has your MB been out? Try DangerDen too if you haven't already.

"Our loop locker chipset block will be compatible. If for some reason it does not work, we will refund your purchase.

Thank you."

so, that's cool. i suppose i'll get one of those.
